If you're considering remodeling your home, you probably have a lot of questions.
Here are some we are often asked that might help answer some of your own questions:
What kind of work do you do?
We provide complete building contractor services: all aspects of residential construction,
from top to bottom. Remodeling, additions and restorations are the majority of our business,
and we also build new construction projects.
Your ad says that you are “Environmentally Friendly”. What does that mean?
We’re glad you noticed this. At Aloha Brothers Contracting

we take our personal responsibility toward the environment seriously.
We incorporate our concerns into our office and each remodeling and construction project that we are involved with.
For example: We absolutely recycle everything that is possible.
We are meticulous about this. In office, all of our paper stock is made from recycled paper.
Our lighting is all Compact Flourescent Lighting. We do our best to conserve our energy usage.
In the field, and at your home, we also encourage the use of FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified woods.
We will only apply paints, sealers, adhesives, etc. that are Low or No-VOC and Water-based (wherever possible).
Building materials that are used are Low-Formaldehyde or Formaldehyde-Free.
We offer a lot of building and remodeling options to help make your home green and friendlier to you, your family,
and the environment. At Aloha Brothers Contracting, we want you to know that we sincerely care about our own
environmental footprint, and look forward to helping you with yours!
We are members of the US Green Building Council, The Cascadia Region Green Building Council,
and we are Green Advantage certified.
How long will my kitchen or bathroom remodel project take?
There are different variables for the length of every custom project; however,
there are a few factors that can give us a general idea. The scope of the bathroom
remodeling project determines how long the project will take. For example,
if you are moving some of your fixtures and adding on to the room, the actual
construction will obviously take a little bit longer than simply replacing existing fixtures.
In a general timeline, we will begin by meeting with you in person at the jobsite and
determining the scale of the project. We will then prepare a firm price quotation for
you and schedule a time to deliver it to you, usually within a week. Once we’ve agreed
on the quotation, we will meet again to complete the paperwork for the remodeling or
construction agreement and will begin the process of selecting the materials necessary
to complete the projects. After the selection of materials is complete, the supplies will be ordered.
Material delivery can range from 1-6 weeks depending on the vendors stock inventory, custom orders,
and general availability of the materials. During this time, we are usually beginning the demolition
and removal of old fixtures and appliances. The installation of the new materials and appliances,
flooring, painting, etc, finishing touches and site clean-up may last 1-8 weeks depending on the extent of the project.

that surrounds us. We make every effort to utilize the resources and the professionals that
Oregon has to offer to bring your project to its completion.

How much will my new home/ remodel, addition/ renovation construction cost?
There are many factors that determine costs of a remodeling or construction project.
The first consideration is always your budget. When you give us your budget,
we are then able to tailor the scope of the job to best meet your specific needs and desires.
The type of construction and the grade of building materials used are a significant factor.
There is usually a low, middle, and high range for each project.
Your budget will determine the type of products used for your project.
The cost difference is large if you compare materials such as vinyl flooring to travertine tile,
and so is the final appearance! It’s important to know your budget from the beginning, and your desired outcome.
We will sit down together and figure out the best options for you specifically.
There are other factors to consider when trying determining costs; the size of your addition or remodel,
the ease of accessibility (Do we need to rent a boom to lift materials to a third floor?), will we have
to move plumbing and/or electrical work in order to complete the new project?
With Aloha Brothers Contracting your approval is necessary and required for our every step.
We enjoy working together with our clients and understand the importance of your home.
In the end, we want you to have what you asked for and will maintain open and honest communication
throughout the duration of the project until completion!
